George J Fix Jr. was born in Buffalo, New York in 1911 and his family came to Dallas, Texas in 1921. Fix graduated from Texas A& M with a B.S. in 1932 and a masters in Mechanical Engineering in 1933. In 1937 George Fix married Frances Bartlett in Dallas, Texas. He served in the Army Air Corps 1941-1946, serving both as a combat observer and an ordnance expert, rising to the rank of Colonel. Since the war, he returned as a consultant three times on special weapons analysis jobs. ...
